How to set up an altar for archangels
An angelic altar is a sacred place where you sit and meditate, pray and connect with your angels or archangels. By crating your own angelic altar, you are saying an angel that you desire to connect with them. Setting up an altar is very important in establishing a strong connection with the archangels.
HOW TO CREATE OR SET UP AN ALTAR
Creating an altar have no specific rules, it is very easy and you can do it with simple materials which you have already at home like (candles, incense, feathers, photos and statues of angels and butterflies, flowers, crystals, angel music cd if you have any.) You can play with these materials and create your own sacred place. The most important thing is it need to be neat, tidy and clutter free space.
I personally focus on five elements Earth, water, fire, air and metal to create my altar.
To set up, firstly clean the area which you have chosen to create. Then, take any flat surface like side table, coffee table and cover it with table cloth. I prefer using white cloth. You can choose any but I recommend that you go for lighter shade.
Fire
Take candles and incense as a symbol of fire. You can use white candle or all the seven colours ( violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red). I have used one large white scented candle in the middle of the table.
Earth
For earth you can include crystals like quartz, amethyst, citrine. Beside crystal flowers or lucky bamboo can be used as a symbol of earth.
I have personally used rose quartz and lucky bamboo as a symbol of earth in my altar.
Air
Use any object that fly like (feathers, picture of butterflies, statues of an angels), objects that make sound with because of breeze like( wind chimes), angel music cd.
In my altar I have place statue of an angel by the side of candle. Pictures of all the seven archangels ( Gabriel, Zadkiel, Uriel, Michael, Chamuel, Jophiel and Raphael).
Water
In my altar I have used a small metal cup to fill water. I add few drops of essential oil and rose petals. Metal cup is a symbol of metal in my altar. You can use table top water fountain if you have any.
Metal
As a symbol of metal I have used metal cup. If you don’t have metal cup you can use any cups with metal coin in it as a symbol of metal or candle stand made out of metal.
These are the basic steps that I follow. You can add any other items which you wish to add and share with us. I will definitely post if I learn more.
